How to use incense balls (or fumigation bombs)?
Palo Santo incense is known for its purifying properties, promoting energy purification, emotional well-being, and spiritual connection. Its pleasant fragrance is also associated with creating a positive mood and antibacterial properties.
Incense balls (also known as smudge bombs ) are used like incense cones:
- Light an incense ball with a lighter or match, until it ignites.
- Place it on its flat side, in a non-flammable container.
- Blow out the flame carefully to extinguish it.
- Once the incense ball is no longer ignited, smoke escapes from it: fumigation begins.
- The incense ball will burn like this, diffusing smoke, for about 8 minutes. Be careful: even when there is no more smoke, the ball can still contain glowing embers for about twenty minutes.
- If you want to perform a traditional fumigation ritual, walk through the rooms in your living space dispersing the smoke into each room, including the nooks and crannies.
- When the fumigation is complete, check that all the ashes are extinguished before disposing of them. Open a window to ventilate and ventilate your living space.
- After use, the scent of an incense ball remains perceptible for several days after fumigation.
