However, rock crystal also needs to be purified and recharged. To purify your rock crystal jewelry or crystals, simply immerse them in water (ideally demineralized or lightly salted) for a few hours, then wipe them dry with a clean cloth.
To recharge them, expose them to natural light for 2 to 3 hours. Beware of the reflective effect of rock crystal in sunlight: it can cause a fire! Rock crystal can also be recharged by moonlight, which is safer.
