Purify your living space like the Native Americans do, with the White Sage Fumigation Stick

In the Native American tradition, burning white sage purifies a place, increases wisdom and intensifies the connection with nature. It is an ancestral rite of purification and protection that has now spread to all continents.

The ritual of fumigation would therefore make it possible to get rid of undesirable entities, or evil spells cast by ill-intentioned people.

Instructions for use

Here's how to use this White Sage Fumigation Stick:

  • Light the end of the stick with a match or lighter.
  • As with incense, let it burn for 2 to 3 seconds and then blow on the flame to extinguish it.
  • Once the flame is extinguished, smoke rises from the stick and diffuses the sweet scent of sage into your room.
  • Walk through your living space to purify it for a few moments.
  • Allow the stick to burn gently in a non-flammable container where the ashes will settle. This combustion must always be done under the supervision of an adult, and in a suitably ventilated room.
  • When the combustion is complete, check that all the embers are extinguished, for example by filling the container with water.

Then walk through each room of the place clockwise, and spread the smoke generously, without forgetting the corners of the rooms. Do this for all rooms, even the smallest ones. Some people recommend saying a prayer during the fumigation ritual.

To purify a person, diffuse smoke all around them, starting from their feet to the top of their head, then in front of and behind them. Repeat this operation at least 1 time. The process is identical to purify an object.
